Our story: Bridget, Charlie (and others) connect and collaborate. Introduced by a mutual friend we met at Pickerel Lake, Dexter Township, Michigan, to talk design projects and life. And met again to talk about our past work and educating. Days felt like only hours. We continued learning about each other by teaching, designing and making gardens, ceremony, touring farms and regeneration projects. Then deepening our connection with the wisdom of a wise old tree in a Detroit Arboretum. From then on we have traveled, explored, designed, facilitated, made landscapes and experienced and enjoyed Garden Juju!

What we do. Our dream and aim is to live lives that are consciously designed, dedicated, in service, full of curiosity, enjoyment and appreciation. We travel acknowledging, and learning from, the great collective of lakes, gardens, forests, inspiring people and projects and so on. We consult, design, create, project manage, educate and publicise a wide range of practical projects and innovative workshops (see below). We are determined, flexible, practical, imaginative and resourceful, bringing together inspiration and experience to create joyful, inclusive and practical outcomes.

What we offer. We share our work for love and experience and to make a living. We are good at what we do and dedicated to each project. Testimonials written by people we have worked with  can be found below.

What people are saying about us…

Ellen. ‘I have hired Charlie & Bridget on several occasions in the past year.. wonderful to work with: cheerful, enthusiastic, completely reliable, competent, respectful, and exceptionally knowledgeable. They really care about my land, and about supporting my positive relationship with the land. Offering brilliant, artful and functional design ideas and then following through on creating them, always in respectful collaboration with myself and others living on the land. Fun to have on the site, their competence in design and management as well as physical labour is a fantastic and rare combination. I feel very blessed to have Charlie & Bridget on my team in this land and community stewardship project’.

Kathy & Stefan. ‘Everything that Charlie touches on my land becomes magic. I want him come back and do more and more. And now with Bridget by his side there is no stopping them..’

Richard. ‘…meeting Charlie & Bridget in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and visiting Detroit City. Charlie & Bridget are long time educators and practitioners who devote much of their time, these days, to facilitating workshops on sense of place, self and planetary care, permaculture, radical landscape design, eco-psychology etc. They were kind enough to shout me a ticket for a bus tour around Detroit’s 1500 community gardens. It was two hours of sheer fascination..’
